MODULO RADIO
An internet radio app for Android Auto
Yes, Modulo Radio works with Android Auto. Your favorite stations show up on your car's display, you can start any of them from the car screen, and your steering wheel's next and previous buttons skip through your favorites.
What you can do from the car
- Browse your favorite stations on the car display and tap one to play.
- Skip forward or back through your favorites with the steering wheel buttons or the on-screen controls.
- See the station name and, when the station provides it, the current song.
Built for driving
- Playback runs in the background on your phone, so the station keeps going when your screen is off or you switch apps.
- On Android, Modulo can switch from Wi-Fi to cellular without dropping your station. That helps when you pull out of the driveway and lose your home Wi-Fi.
- If a station stops responding, Modulo retries on its own before giving up, instead of leaving you with silence.
Setting it up
- Install Modulo Radio from Google Play and star the stations you want in the car. They become your car favorites.
- Connect to Android Auto and open Modulo from the car's app list.
What Modulo doesn't do
- The car screen shows your favorites, not the full station search. Pick and star stations on your phone first.
- Android Auto is part of the Android app. The web version doesn't connect to car displays.
