MODULO RADIO
A radio app that doesn't need to know who you are
Modulo Radio is built to work without knowing who you are. There's no account, no email, and no advertising or analytics trackers in the app, and your recently played stations stay on your own device.
What stays on your device
- Your recently played stations, volume, and playback settings.
- Diagnostic logs, which only leave your device if you send a bug report yourself. You see everything in the report before sending and can edit or delete any part of it.
What's stored online, and how
- Favorites are synced under an anonymous ID, not a name or email, so they're tied to the app, not to you.
- When you share your favorites, a copy of the list you chose is stored under a random code and expires after about a day.
What Modulo doesn't do
- No selling, renting, or trading your data, ever. Not selling it was part of the reason Modulo exists.
- No advertising trackers and no third-party analytics in the app.
- Station audio comes straight from each station's own server. Modulo doesn't record or re-stream it.
The full details
Read the full privacy policy for exactly what's stored, where, and for how long.
Good to know
- Like any internet radio app, playing a station connects your device to that station's server, which can see your IP address the way any website can.
- Modulo uses Firebase (Google) for anonymous favorites sync and Netlify for hosting. The privacy policy explains what each one handles.
