What "no account" means in practice

You don't sign up or log in, on Android or on the web.
Your favorites are saved without an account. You can also export them as a backup or share your list with someone using a link.
Recently played stations are kept on your own device.

What "no ads" means in practice

Modulo never adds banners, pop-ups, or audio ads of its own.
You're hearing real live radio, so each station's own commercials, DJs, and news breaks play exactly as the station broadcasts them. Modulo doesn't cut or replace them.

Why it's built this way

Modulo was built so you can just listen to music. No accounts, no subscriptions, no playlists to manage. Open it, pick a station, and it plays.

How it's free

Modulo is built and maintained by one independent developer. It uses Radio Browser, an open community directory of radio stations, and plays each station's stream directly from the station's own server.
There's an optional way to support the app, but nothing is locked behind it.

What Modulo doesn't do

It's live radio only: no podcasts, audiobooks, or on-demand music.
It needs an internet connection. It isn't an offline FM tuner.
There's no iPhone app yet. On iPhone, Modulo works in the browser at moduloradio.com.
